This will be short, because we hold very little. You cannot open an account here, you cannot buy anything, and we only receive personal data if you write to us yourself.
Harp Reels Media Ltd., publisher of harpandreels.com. Contact details are in the site footer and on the terms page.
Processing is carried out under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
Technical data on every visit. The server logs your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page and the time of the request. This happens on every website and is necessary to run the service and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f).
Audience statistics. We collect aggregated information about which pages are read, for how long and on what kind of device. It does not identify anyone; we want to know which guides are useful and which need rewriting. Legal basis: consent, Article 6(1)(a).
Anything you send us. If you email us, we process your address and the content of your message in order to reply, and keep it for as long as correspondence is normally retained. Legal basis: legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f).
What we do not process: we do not run user accounts, we do not ask for registration, we do not take payment details, and we do not sell data to anybody.
Strictly necessary cookies. The site does not work properly without them — remembering your cookie choice, for instance. These may be set without consent.
Statistical cookies. Used to measure audience, and set only with your consent.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings and block future ones. If you do, the site remains fully readable — we do not put content behind a cookie wall.
The «Visit site» buttons are affiliate links. Clicking one takes you through a redirect to the operator, and the affiliate network records that the visit came from us. We do not have access to that data at an individual level — we see aggregate counts, not who clicked.
From the moment you leave harpandreels.com, the destination casino's privacy policy applies to you and not ours. If you open an account there, they will ask for identity documents as part of their own verification process; that relationship is between you and them.
We use external providers to operate the site: a hosting provider, a content delivery network, an audience statistics provider and an affiliate network for outbound link tracking. These act on our instructions under contract.
The site loads web fonts from an external source; in doing so your browser connects to the font provider, which sees your IP address.
Server logs: typically a few months, then deleted automatically.
Statistics: stored in aggregate, without identifying anyone.
Email correspondence: for a reasonable period after the matter is closed, then deleted.
Under the GDPR you may request access to the data we hold about you, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — that does not affect the lawfulness of what was done before.
Write to the address in the footer. We will respond within one month.
If you believe our processing breaches the law, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, or go to court. The DPC's contact details are on its own website.
This site is for over-18s only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you are a parent and believe your child has contacted us, write to us and we will delete it.
We update this notice when our services or the law change. The date it took effect is always at the top of the page.
